Join us in scenic Morrow County for our second County Birding Blitz from Saturday, May 31st to Sunday, June 1st.
Located between Hood River and Pendleton, Morrow county provides a diverse variety of habitats from agriculture to high elevation forests. Birds to find include Grasshopper sparrows, Chukar, Gray Partridge, and maybe even a Flammulated Owl. We might also see a variety of water birds, such as Long-billed Curlews, along the Columbia river.

Itinerary and Registration
The Morrow county birding blitz will be headquartered at the River Lodge & Grill in Boardman, Oregon. Plan on meeting in the lodge parking lot each morning to assign areas, coordinate efforts, and exchange information.
On the mornings of Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st we will break into groups and count birds in assigned areas of the countryside. After formal surveying in the morning, birders can visit county hotspots in the afternoon.
This will be a free event! However, participants will be responsible for their own accommodations and meals. We recommend booking accommodations at the River Lodge & Grill or other nearby lodging and camping as early as possible.
Would you like to join us? Please help us plan by registering in advance.
Please specify if you would like to meet Friday evening and/or if you have preferred birding areas or teams. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We look forward to seeing you there!
