Our first Oregon2020 training videos are now online! In these videos, Oregon2020 member Cody Sawyers takes you through the steps of submitting birding data to eBird. If you haven’t heard of eBird.org before, this is a great way to learn more.
eBird is a helpful resource for birders looking to upload and track birding lists online. eBird provides maps of birding hotspots and helps birders find species in their area. It even organizes life lists for you, all for FREE! Oregon2020 will use citizen science data from eBird to help document bird distributions throughout the state.
By entering accurate, detailed eBird data, you’re helping Oregon2020 accomplish our mission of documenting Oregon’s birds.
In this training video, we show you how to enter a basic birding checklist onto the eBird site. We recommend you sign up for a free eBird account prior to watching these tutorials.
This, and several other advanced eBiring tutorials, are available on our Video Tutorials page.Post Date: May 1st, 2013
